In d4 I’ve basically found everything besides the mathematically impossible items to find and there is nothing that can drop to make me want to continue looking for items that won’t drop.ĭ4 should have come ready with more than 20 uniques(mostly class specific).
Im still play my 100 sorc(sorc even being my least favorite d2 class) in d2 hoping to find a zod or tyraels to trade, while still finding useful charms and items to use(or trade). What exactly am i playing for if i can’t trade or find interesting uniques or charms/runes that i can use? Even finding a shako at this point isn’t exciting because i won’t be using it so to it being weaker than any helm i can craft. There needs to be more to find that can actually improve my character or change him. What am i supposed to do with 4 rings of mendelen, i can’t trade them and i don’t need 4 summon necros. Diablo 2 has plenty of interesting items to find while you grind for a super unique, whereas Diablo 4 has nothing that makes me want to continue the grind for gear. I’m constantly hunting for a vampire gaze, tal set piece, skullders, shako, ist rune ect… but when something like as rare as windforce drops unexpectedly i get super excited to either use it on another character or TRADE it for something i need. In Diablo 2 i never an looking for a windforce, grandfather, zod, or tyraels. Diablo characters are not immune from the same situation.
I've hit the same point in World of Warcraft where I had a max character at max item level with maxed out raid gear and really there wasn't anything else to do until the next raid was released or the next expanstion, etc. Regardless if you've hit a point on one character where the returns are not worth the time spent then perhaps for you that character is finished for now. I'm not sure how many hours you've put in already but perhaps it took less time than you had hoped or expected, or others as well of course. The time between starting to play and getting to this point is the only thing that varies between all games that have this kind of progression.
